[Theatrical Play] Dracula Blood is Life at Resorts World Sentosa!
Sunday, November 06, 2016When I asked around, not a single person knew the story of Dracula. They just know that Dracula is a vampire that sucks blood for a living. But how did this character come about? Who are the characters involved in this stage adaptation of Stoker's classic novel? Is Dracula really afraid of garlic?
Therefore, I was pretty excited to catch my very first play in life, what's more, on a character that is intriguing to a horror buff like me.
A production by American playwright, Steven Dietz, Dracula: Blood is Life will be playing at Resorts World Sentosa until 13th November 2016.
Trust me when I say that you will literally be dazzled, right at the start of the play! The lights were superb in the creation of the creepy atmosphere, with shadows cast at just the right place to create the illusion that someone or something is always... lurking. Listening.
If you love the adrenaline of jump scares, well, the sounds in this play will be a treat to your brave heart. Be prepared for quite a bit of loud noises, banging, screaming and an impressive underscore by Grammy Award, Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominee, Kevan Frost.
There were also some nifty illusions that kept me entertained throughout the play. The build up to the final act was thrilling and straight to the point. Literally everyone gasped at the final scene.
Another reason for you to go? Narelle Kheng from The Sam Willows is one of the main characters!
